East of Macclesfield

If you travelled due east from Macclesfield, you'd get a good slice of both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, and finally Lincolnshire. You'd just miss Staffordshire to the south (by about 2½ miles, at Cheeks Hill), and South Yorkshire to the north (by about six miles, south of Sheffield). You'd hit the sea at or near Chapel St. Leonards (about five miles north of Skegness).
